Please read on below for a quick guide on how to populate the user file.

Use the “Users” tab in the user file template provided below to populate employee information for your survey.

You can include any employee attributes from the list below. We recommend choosing attributes based on the cuts (views of data) you'll want to see when you get your results. For example, if you want to see how results vary by department, add a field titled Department.

Code used to define the language of the survey and survey notification emails sent from the Entromy platform

Employee Role

Used to indicate the employee's level (e.g., Manager, Individual Contributor)

Department

Used to indicate an employee's organization or team (e.g., Finance, Operations)

Manager

Name of employee's manager

Name

Contact Method

Used to specify how the survey recipient will receive the survey

"Email", "Alt Email", "Text", "None", "All" (Email + Text)

Optional

Type

Used to further distinguish between types of employees that are meaningful for your organization

"Full time" or "Part time" / "Hourly" or "Salary"

Mobile

Phone number for the survey recipient

Country code + ten-digit number, with no dashes

Kiosk Code

Code that can be used if the survey is not emailed but is part of a kiosk or survey-taking station. This can be an employee ID, email alias, or other unique identifier / code

Up to 50 characters

Company Start Date

Start date for the employee. Used to calculate employee tenure (see row below)

The tenure of the employees

Tenure ranges:
1 yr or less
1-3 yrs
3-5 yrs
5-7 yrs
7-9 yrs
9+ yrs

Gender

Gender of employee

"Female", "Male", "Other", "Prefer not to say", or you can create your own options by navigating to Settings > Users > 3 dots menu > User dimensions > scroll to Gender
